About me

Welcome to the worldwide Fitz(-)Henry DNA project site.

We are attempting to trace the genetic origins of all the Fitz(-)Henry family groups, where-ever they are found in the world.
This project was set up in April 2008 under the auspices of the Guild of One-Name studies.

Are we all related to King Henry the First of England (as legend says)?
Are there other starting points?

If you are a Fitzhenry or a Fitz-Henry
(the spelling doesn't matter - the hyphen comes and goes over the ages in many families),
then come and join in the fun...

Your genetic heritage is just a cheek swab away!

New  - the family group pages now include contact details for people researching that branch. Click here for more details.

Who can be tested as part of the Fitz(-)henry family DNA project?

How is the testing done and what are the catches?
