Results in for family groups 1 and 2 - November 2008

The first Fitz-Henry tested was from family group 1.

The second Fitzhenry tested is from family group 2.

At the preliminary level of test results (12 marker level), there are only 8 out of twelve matches. This means that the two men are not genetically related.

Ideally we would need to confirm these initial tests with another man from each family. And of course, we have many more family groups where there hasn't been anyone tested yet.

So what does this mean for the wider Fitz-Henry family? It means that one of these men is not descended from the Plantagenet King Henry 1, the supposed patriarch of all the Fitz(-)Henry lines. So there has to be at least one other patriach back in the deeper history.
